Council suggested that a special committee--composed <br /> <br />of City Manager Hirst, School Superintendent John Richmond, Dr. H. C. Foster, <br /> <br />Jr., and others--study these propos11s and present its recommendations to <br /> <br />Council. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of an audit of the City Treasurer's "Commonwealth <br /> <br />Revenue" accounts for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1962, as prepared by the <br /> <br />State Auditor of Public Accounts. <br /> <br />Council, next, requested that the firm of William Z. Ford, CPA, conduct the <br /> <br />City1s required annual audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1963. <br /> <br />Upon mot_ion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council approved--subject <br /> <br />to City Attorney Cubine's approval as to form--a sewer line crossing agreement <br /> <br />with the Carolina & Northwestern Railway Company to provide for the City's <br /> <br /> <br />sewer line crossing of C&NW right-of-way near Sale Knitting Company property <br /> <br />on the east side of Franklin Street. Council's approval carried authorization <br /> <br /> <br />for execution of this agreement by Mayor Wilson and Couneil' s Clerk. <br /> <br />In conclusion, Council received from City Manager Hirst a status report on the <br /> <br />new National Guard armory project. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />w. ~""~';:'~le~k of Council <br /> <br />
