Franck, <br /> <br />President of Sale Knitting Company, requesting the construction of <br /> <br />some 450 feet of sidewalk and curb-and-gutter along Franklin Street <br /> <br />near Sale Knitting Company's plant on Franklin Street. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst presented a "1961 Annual Traffic Inventory" of <br /> <br />,...-,..., <br /> <br />Martinsville, as prepared by the National Safety Council. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst informed Council that the month of August, 1962, <br /> <br />was the first and only month within the last eight years in which <br /> <br />no general fire alarm was sounded or required. <br /> <br />Council commended <br /> <br />the Fire Department on its fire prevention program and the general <br /> <br />citizenry on its apparent adherence to this program. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />,,,- <br /> <br />w, <br /> <br />of Council <br /> <br />- <br />
