<br />"H <br />'-lu <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />APRIL 26, 1966 <br /> <br />BE IT RESDLVED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br />in regular meeting assembled this twenty-sixth day of April, 1966, <br />that the Piedmont Trust Bank, Martinsville, Virginia, in collaboration <br />with the First National Bank of Martinsville & Henry County, <br />Martinsville, Virginia, be and is hereby respectfully requested to <br />lend to the City of Martinsville a sum not to exceed $1,200,000.00 <br />(including the sum of $550,000.00 borrowed under resolution adopted <br />July 13, 1965, by Martinsville City Council), for a period not to <br />exceed two years from July 13, 1965, with right of anticipation <br />reserved unto the City of Martinsville at the expiration of six <br />months from date of note covering the aforesaid sum of $1,200,000.00 <br />and at succeeding six-month intervals. <br /> <br />In connection with the Zoning Ordinance adopted March 24, 1964, Council <br /> <br />adopted a revised Building Zone Map (revised April 21, 1966), as approved <br /> <br />by the Planning Commissio~ with each member of Council affixing his signature <br /> <br />thereto, for placing on record with the Clerk of the City Circuit Court. <br /> <br />A petition received through ~~. Nathan Bushnell, III, Administrator, <br /> <br />requesting the rezoning from "R-6 Residential" to 11p_1 Professional" of a <br /> <br />proposed site for a new Martinsville General Hospital, which site is located <br /> <br />on Northside Drive, was referred to the Planning Commission for its <br /> <br />consideration and recommendation. <br /> <br />Pursuant to recent request of the Council, the Martinsville Electoral Board, <br /> <br />along with Councilman Thomas J. Burch and City Attorney Cubine, presented <br /> <br />recommendations--along with map delineuting b:mndary lines--whereby tl-IC <br /> <br />City's five voting precincts would be divided into eight. Council unanimously <br /> <br />adopted said recommendations and directed that required procedures be carried <br /> <br />out to effect and legally establish the proposed eight voting precincts, <br /> <br />generally described as follows: <br />
