Reimbursement

was established as being $11,808.81, covering a distance of 4,183 feet.

On behalf of the S. Kolodny Estate, Mr. Harold Kolodny appeared before

Council and requested the rezoning to "C-2 Commercial" of property

owned by the estate and located (or identified as) at 1113 to 15 South

Moss Street" and "17 South Moss Street", being between West Church street

and Gravely Street. Council referred this request to the Planning

Commission for its consideration and recommendation.

In connection with his proposed development of property along the north

side of Brookdale Road for a distance of some 1,300 feet northwest of its

intersection with Spruce street, which property was recently rezoned,

Mr. Stafford G. Whittle, III, offered the City five feet of right-of-way

on said north side (in addition to ten feet already dedicated) if the City

would widen and improve this street. While expressing the hope that

additional right-of-way can be obtained on the south side of this street

for widening and improving, Council authorized the accepting of Mr. Whittle's

offer and the widening of this section on said north side.

Council referred to the Planning Commission for its consideration and

recommendation a petition submitted by Virginia Landmark Corporation,

Richmond, Virginia, requesting a "special use" permit under Section VIII,

Subsection C., Paragraph 1, of the City's Zoning Ordinance, to allow

"apartment development use" occupancy of an eight-acre tract of land along

the north side of Spruce Street, east of its intersection with Brookdale
