Childress, Jr., Realtor and member of the City's <br />Planning Commission - <br />(a) expressed confidence in Council to make decision in the <br />best interests of the citizenry; <br />(b) in favor of better housing facilities for all segments of <br />the population, noting the City's limitations as to available <br />land for growth and development; <br />(c) in favor of housing programs, so long as they do not interfere <br />with or disturb economic patterns; and <br />(d) asked what is meant by the term "mixing economic levels". <br />(3) Mr. James Tobin, of the Patrick-Henry Drug Abuse Control Council - <br />(a) requested that, in planning usage of H&CD funds and in <br />application therefor, an allocation be included for a <br />center for this agency, to be staffed by trained and <br />specialized personnel. <br /> <br />In each case of the foregoing citizen presentations, members of Council discussed <br /> <br />with each citizen the various points and opinions presented, following which asked <br /> <br />for additional citizen-input and, for this purpose, Council continued and/or <br /> <br />adjourned the meeting to Monday, February 10, 1975, beginning at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:45 P.M. <br /> <br />W.\-::;~:'';i.;',:k of Council <br />
