Ford and by Assistant City <br /> <br />Manager-Public Works Director of the processes by which the proposed ordinance <br /> <br />and ordinance amendments were developed, and there being no objections <br /> <br />registered by anyone, Council unanimously adopted said proposed Flood Plain <br /> <br />Ordinance, as incorporated in these minutes by insert, and said proposed <br /> <br />amendments to the City's Subdivision Ordinance, as follows: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this ninth day of <br />November, 1976, that paragraphs "2" and "3" of subsection <br />"B" of Section IV of the City's Subdivision Ordinance be-- <br />and are hereby--amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />B. Procedure for conditional approval of preliminary plat. <br /> <br />2. Procedure (etc.) <br /> <br />a. Five copies of the preliminary plat and supplementary <br />material specified shall be submitted to the Commission <br />through its agent with written application for <br />conditional approval at least ten days prior to the <br />meeting at which it is to be considered. <br /> <br />b. If all or any part of a land area proposed for <br />subdivision is situated in a flood hazard area, <br />concurrent with submission of the materials as <br />set forth in "a" above, an additional copy of the <br />preliminary plat and supplementary material shall <br />be submitted to the agent of the Commission who shall <br />submit same to the Board of Adjustment and Appeals as <br />referred to in the City's Flood Plain Ordinance <br />through the Building Official. Said Board shall <br />review such plans and supplementary material and <br />submit a report to the Planning Commission within <br />three weeks after receipt of such plans indicating <br />whether, in its opinion, the proposed subdivision <br />and development can be accomplished in accordance <br />with the requirements of the Flood Plain Ordinance. <br /> <br />3. Following (a) review of the preliminary plat and other <br />material submitted for conformity thereof to these <br />regulations, and (b) receipt of a report from the Board <br />
