<br />C'..~ <br />(..; '-' <br /> <br />THURSDAY <br /> <br />JULY 8, 1976 <br /> <br />it was received on July 1, 1976 and then only in response to the City's Finance <br /> <br />Director's telephone request and letter of June 15, 1976. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried (by roll call vote), Council <br /> <br />convened into an Executive Session to consider two legal matters. Following this <br /> <br />Executive Session, Council reconvened into regular session and announced that the <br /> <br />two legal matters discussed by Council consisted of (1) the United States Supreme <br /> <br />Court's recent decision exempting cities and other local governments from the <br /> <br />provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and (2) the procedure for <br /> <br />contesting rulings of the State Compensation Board, granting salary increases for <br /> <br />certain "constitutional" officers.
