<br />, " <br />lib <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 25, 1975 <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br /> <br />Virginia, with Mayor Harry L. Boaz presiding, was held Tuesday, November 25, <br /> <br />1975, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.M., all members <br /> <br />being present, viz., Harry L. Boaz, Mayor; William D. Hobson, Vice Mayor; <br /> <br />G. S. Fitz-Hugh, Jr.; Barry A. Greene; and Morton W. Lester. <br /> <br />After the invocation, Council approved--as recorded--the minutes of its <br /> <br />regular meeting held October 28, 1975. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of a check in the amount of $9,267.83 from the <br /> <br />Commonwealth of Virginia, representing refund of the City's share of un-used <br /> <br />funds contributed by the City to the cost of operating the regional health <br /> <br />department for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1975. <br /> <br />At the suggestion of Mr. John McCraw, Jr., a member of the Martinsville <br /> <br />Senior High School faculty, Council officially went on record as congratulating <br /> <br />the Martinsville "Bulldogs" football team, and its coach (Mr. David R. Hensley), <br /> <br />upon their winning (on November 22nd) the Region III championship and, also, <br /> <br />as wishing for the team every success in its forthcoming semi-final state <br /> <br />championship game with Gate City, with the hope that on December 6, 1975 <br /> <br />the team will win the state championship. <br /> <br />Pursuant to duly-advertised public notice, Council conducted a Public <br /> <br />Hearing on an application (filed September 9, 1975 through Mr. Irvin W. <br /> <br />Cubine, Attorney at Law and counsel for applicant) by Community Methods, <br /> <br />Inc., of Virginia Beach, Virginia, seeking the re-issuance of a Special-Use <br />
