<br />11 <br />1. <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />OCTOBER 28, 1975 <br /> <br />in the total of $1,473,635.00, with the City's share thereof estimated at <br /> <br />$247,195.00, to which pre-application--by motion, duly seconded and unanimously <br /> <br />carried--Council added $40,740.00 to finance the cost of extending present <br /> <br />streets and utility lines through undeveloped property to connect and serve <br /> <br />two proposed subdivisions (viz., Nationwide Homes project in East Martinsville <br /> <br />$31,920.00; and Roy Stone project off Rives Road Extension - $8,820.00), with <br /> <br />the understanding that, should Federal funding of these two extension projects <br /> <br />~- <br /> <br />be denied, or if any future similar situations develop and Federal funding of <br /> <br />extensions and improvements through undeveloped property is denied, such <br /> <br />extensions and improvements would be in accordance with the City's Subdivision <br /> <br />Ordinance. Projects of the proposed pre-application, excluding the <br /> <br />aforemention two added projects, are as follows: <br /> <br />PROJECT A: Acquisition of blighted commercial property in <br />the CBD; removal of blighted structures and <br />initial phase of development of an urban plaza <br />facing the historic Courthouse. <br /> <br />Priority 1 - Acquisition of five deteriorating CBD <br />properties located between Main, Walnut, <br />Wall, and Bridge Streets.
