<br />- <br /> <br />,,- <br /> <br />L_ <br />-" <br /> <br />MONDAY <br /> <br />JUNE 2, 1975 <br /> <br />$47,000.00 from this fund and in posing the question as how best to finance <br /> <br />future system expansion and/or improvements. <br /> <br />And, in connection with the hereinabove authorized refuse pickup service policy <br /> <br />change, Councilman Fitz-Hugh requested that study be given, as to cost and related <br /> <br />matters, to the possibility of furnishing refuse collection twice a week in <br /> <br />residential areas during the summer months. <br /> <br />Other matters discussed were: <br /> <br />(1) additional demands being on Social Services departmental personnel <br />to provide mandated services; <br />(2) the effect of anticipated economic recovery upon "welfare" <br />grants; <br />(3) the status of plumbing facilities at outdoor recreational <br />parks and playgrounds; <br />(4) the availability of supervision for public school <br />facilities when used for recreational purposes; and <br />(5) certain "line items" within the proposed 1975-76 budget. <br /> <br />Following this discussion, upon motion (which was duly seconded and unanimously <br /> <br />carried by a recorded vote) Council convened into an Executive Session to <br /> <br />consider (1) personnel matters and (2) a contractual matter. At the conclusion <br /> <br />of this session, Council reconvened into regular session and announced that these <br /> <br />matters remain under consideration. <br /> <br />Council unanimously called for a special meeting, for the purpose of continuing <br /> <br />its consideration and study of the proposed 1975-76 budget, to be held in the <br /> <br />Council Chamber, City Hall, Friday, June 6, 1975, beginning at 3:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />./ I~~ "','...............,jL. ~1.-"-10 _ ~"- <br />W.
