<br />September 26, 2006 <br /> <br />Council Member Ferrill gave his own personal prepared remarks <br /> <br />concerning the cable issue (Attachment A), following which Council made <br /> <br />comments in support of his remarks. <br /> <br />Mr. Collins also gave the following updates to Council: <br /> <br />. Encouraged participation in the Good Neighbor Fund <br />. Mentioned a dedication ceremony being tentatively planned for <br />Octo ber 10 for the Liberty j Clearview proj ect <br />. Reminded everyone of the Community Clean-Up Day at Wilson Park <br />on Saturday, October 7 <br />. Explained that progress on the handicapped ramp out front has <br />been delayed somewhat due to the fact that the crew cannot work <br />when Court is being held due to the noise level <br /> <br />Council Member Anderson asked the Mayor to make comments about <br /> <br />the recent Council retreat. Mayor Reynolds indicated that it was a very <br /> <br />productive meeting and that Council worked diligently to come up with a vision <br /> <br />for the City for the year 2025 and also developed operating guidelines. The <br /> <br />Vision will be presented at an upcoming Council work session. Council <br /> <br />Member Anderson also indicated that the retreat was very positive and that the <br /> <br />goals and initiatives that Council had adopted earlier would all become an <br /> <br />essential part in reaching the vision for the City. <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance <br /> <br />with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and <br /> <br />upon motion by Council Member Ferrill, duly seconded, and by unanimous <br /> <br />recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of <br />
