<br />r ,.f. <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JULY 29, 1980 <br /> <br />---, <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 5 of Chapter 2 of the Charter of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br /> <br />a special and duly-called meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, was <br /> <br />held Tuesday, July 29, 1980, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 1:00 P.M., <br /> <br />for the purpose of conferring with the City's bond counsel and other consultants on <br /> <br />matters pertaining to the City's proposed Ridgeway hydro-electric project. All members <br /> <br />of Council were present, viz., Barry A. Greene, Mayor; William C. Cole, Jr., Vice Mayor; <br /> <br />L. D. Oakes; Henry C. Reed; and Francis T. West. Also present were Messrs. George B. <br /> <br />Adams, Jr., and Joseph R. Cobbe, members of the Citizens Select Committee for said project, <br /> <br />as were representatives of the City's bond counsel firm, financial advisory firm(s), and <br /> <br />project engineering consulting firm. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and carried by a recorded and unanimous vote, and pursuant to <br /> <br />Section 2.1-344(6) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as amended), Council convened into <br /> <br />an Executive Session to confer with bond counsel and other consultants on matters <br /> <br />pertaining to said proposed Ridgeway hydro-electric project, including pertinent <br /> <br />aspects of the City Charter. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of said Executive Session, Council reconvened into regular session. <br /> <br />There being no actions taken, Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />,"-'" <br /> <br />W. <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br /> <br />- <br />
