<br />n ,... <br />.~o <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />APRIL 24, 1979 <br /> <br />By memorandum report, the CBD Commission (through its chairman, Mr. George W. Brown, <br /> <br />the City's Assistant City Manager-Public Works Director) recommended that Council <br /> <br />authorize the City's entering into a contractual agreement with a local group <br /> <br />(represented by Mrs. Charles M. Stone) which would sponsor an organized Farmers' <br /> <br />Market, to be located on a portion of the City's Fayette Street Parking Lot and to <br /> <br />operate under the guidelines and/or rules attached to said memorandum report. Upon <br /> <br />motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council accepted the CBD Commission's <br /> <br />report and recommendations; and, also, directed the preparation of a lease agreement <br /> <br />between the City and the sponsoring organization for Council's consideration and/or <br /> <br />authorization for the execution thereof. <br /> <br />Council referred to the Planning Commission, for its consideration and recommendation, <br /> <br />a (verbal) petition presented on behalf of Mr. H. Banks Pannill by Mr. Stanford C. <br /> <br />Finney, of Greene's Gallery of Homes (and/or Earle W. Greene, Realtor), requesting the <br /> <br />rezoning to an appropriate commercial zone petitioner's property consisting of Lots <br /> <br />Nos. 4, 5, 6, and 7, on Askin and South Streets, as shown on "Park Place Survey" dated <br /> <br />1923. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />,~v.::" :-'::_' <br /> <br />.. .... ,-.- <br /> <br />W.
