As an alternative
the balance needed to purchase and pay for the equip-
ment this year could be justifiably charged to the
Water, Sewer and Electric utilities since the equipment
is used directly for the benefit of these utilities.
The amount that would have to be charged to these
utilities would be $25,118.

City Collector
Elimination of Position
(Includes Fringe Benefits)

$ 10,740

Risk Management
Safety Consultant

$ 5,000

This would leave a balance of $2,200 for use in review
and upgrading of our overall safety program.

Police Department
Salary Adjustments
(Includes Fringe Benefits)
Overtime
Motor Vehicles/Equipment

$ 7,080
$ 1,500
$ 10,000

This reduction includes a reduction in the proposed in-
crease for the Chief of Police, the Assistant Chief and
Lieutenant from 10% to 5% related to reclassification;
the reduction of overtime, and the elimination of the
trade of one automobile, but retains funds to overhaul
one vehicle and trade three.
