Utility Billing Hand Held Meter Reading Devices and Related Equipment $ 31,100 This reduction will result in a transfer increase from the utility funds to the General Fund since the cost of billing is apportioned to utilities. Data processin~ ADP Equipment Computer) $ 44,118 This reduction will leave $30,882 under this account which could be used to purchase a printer and the CPU on a two-year lease/purchase but would eliminate the purchase of the magnetic tape drive. As an alternative the balance needed to purchase and pay for the equip- ment this year could be justifiably charged to the Water, Sewer and Electric utilities since the equipment is used directly for the benefit of these utilities. The amount that would have to be charged to these utilities would be $25,118.
