<br />.~ <br /> <br />July 1, 2006 <br /> <br />Mayor Reynolds called for nominations for Vice Mayor. Council Member <br /> <br />Lawson nominated Council Member Clark. Council Member Ferrill nominated <br /> <br />Council Member Anderson. <br /> <br />Council Member Ferrill moved to close the <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />nominations; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, <br /> <br />with all members voting: Vote 5-0. Yeas (5) - Reynolds, Clark, Ferrill, <br /> <br />Anderson, Lawson. Nays (0) - None. Council Member Clark was elected Vice <br /> <br />Mayor by the following vote with all members voting: Clark (3) - Reynolds, <br /> <br />Clark, Lawson. Council Member Anderson declined a vote be taken. Mr. <br /> <br />Pritchett then administered the oath of office to Vice Mayor Clark. <br /> <br />Council Members Anderson and Ferrill made brief remarks as well as <br /> <br />Mayor Reynolds. <br /> <br />James Crigger, of 1122 South Askin Street, Reverend Thurman Echols, <br /> <br />and Bruce H. T. Dallas, of 211 Massey Street, extended congratulations and <br /> <br />made brief remarks. <br /> <br />Council considered the current work session meeting schedule and after <br /> <br />discussion, Council Member Lawson made a motion that the work sessions be <br /> <br />changed from 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.; the motion was duly seconded and <br /> <br />carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5-0. Yeas (5) - <br /> <br />"- <br /> <br />Reynolds, Clark, Ferrill, Anderson, Lawson. Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before Council during their <br /> <br />organizational meeting, upon motion by Council Member Ferrill, duly <br />
