<br />August 1,2006 <br /> <br />· Accept in FY06 budget in the General Fund $2,141. $1,566 in Recovered <br />costs for the Senior Center for Program Supplies. $575,. in donations for <br />the Fire Department <br /> <br />Council Member Lawson moved to approve Consent Agenda items <br /> <br />relative to adjustments to the FY07 budget (Attachment A); the motion was <br /> <br />duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote <br /> <br />4-0. Yeas (4) - Reynolds, Clark, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays (0) -None. Absent (1) _ <br /> <br />Anderson. <br /> <br />Council Member Lawson asked for an update on the issue brought to <br /> <br />Council's attention. from Mr. Clark of Spruce Street concerning the recent <br /> <br />storm damage to his property. City Manager Collins indicated that he had met <br /> <br />with Mr. Clark on two occasions and they had assisted him in applying for <br /> <br />FEMA funds, but he was denied. There is nothing else the City can do since it <br /> <br />involves private property. Mayor Reynolds expressed his thanks for the books <br /> <br />about the history of Fayette Street furnished to Council by FAHI and also <br /> <br />expressed appreciation to the Public Works and Leisure Services departments <br /> <br />for their assistance with Save the Youth Day at Baldwin Park. <br /> <br />Mr. Collins thanked Council for allowing him to attend the SEI <br /> <br />Leadership Conference in Charlottesville July 16-28. This was made possible <br /> <br />by a scholarship and did not cost the City for him to attend. He also <br /> <br />mentioned the recent articles in the media concerning the cable rates and <br />
