<br />j82 <br /> <br />February 28, 2006 <br /> <br />Commonwealth's Attorney, $3,750 from the LLBEG for use to <br />purchase equipment for the in-car cameras, $1,000 from the state <br />(Virginia Fire Incident Reporting System Grant) to be used to connect <br />the two fire stations via MINET, $6,360 for the Inmate Greening Grant <br />from Harvest and reappropriate $3,371 from the same grant that was <br />not spent last Fiscal Year, $2,365 from a federal grant called State <br />Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) to be used purchase <br />various non-capital equipment. <br /> <br />. Accept in FY06 budget $25,454 from the state Rescue Squad <br />Assistance Fund (RSAF) grants to be used to purchase extrication <br />equipment. The City's match of $6,364 is included in the Fire <br />Department's budget. <br /> <br />Dan Collins, City Manager, introduced Matt Hankins who made an <br /> <br />announcement about a new program starting on MGTV22. It will be a talk <br /> <br />show with the City Manager and one Council Member the first Thursday of <br /> <br />each month with the first show to air on Thursday, March 9, at 6:00 p.m. with <br /> <br />Mayor Cobbe as the guest. Matt Hankins will moderate the meeting and the <br /> <br />City Manager will lead the discussion. They will develop an agenda for each <br /> <br />program and will take call-ins from the citizens. <br /> <br />Council Member Ferrill asked about scheduling a tour of the vanous <br /> <br />neighborhoods prior to the work sessions focusing on the particular area. <br /> <br />City Manager Collins mentioned that staff is working on their budgets <br /> <br />and that a big piece again this year is the increase in the electric rates. <br />
