<br />City of Martinsville, Virginia <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 2006-8 <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in Regular Session held <br />on June 5, 2006, that the following section of the Code of the City of Martinsville is amended as <br />follows, to become effective on October 1, 2006: <br /> <br />Section 12-51 Fee is amended to read: <br /> <br />The annual license fee for vehicles required to be licensed under this article shall be as <br />follows: <br /> <br />fB Automobiles: Twenty Dollars ($20.00), Twenty-nine Dollars ($29.00), except the <br />cost of a decal for a vehicle purchased after October 1, or '.vhose registered owner did <br />not become a resident of the city until on or after October 1 of the year in question, <br />shall be ten dollars ($10.00) per '/ehicle. <br />(2) Trucks of not more than fifteen thousand (15,000) pounds gross weight: Twenty <br />dollars ($20.00). Twenty-nine Dollars ($29.00) <br />~ Trucks of more than fifteen thousand (15,000) pounds gross weight: One dollar <br />($1.00) per one thousand (1,000) pounds gross weight. Twenty-nine Dollars ($29.00) <br />for thefirstfifteen thousand (15,000) pounds and One Dollar Forty-jive Cents ($1.45) <br />per one thousand (1,000) pounds gross weight in excess of fifteen thousand (15,000) <br />pounds, rounded to the nearest thousand. <br />(4) Motorcycles: Five dollars ($5.00).
