He felt the important thing was to let the <br /> <br />citizens know that they will be able to vote on the issue. Council Member Roop <br /> <br />added that possibly next year we should consider requesting the General <br /> <br />Assembly to make a charter change concerning the reversion process. <br /> <br />Council next considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In <br /> <br />accordance with Section 2.2-3711 of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as <br /> <br />amended) and upon motion by Council Member Ferrill, duly seconded, and by <br /> <br />unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session, for the purpose <br /> <br />of discussing the following matters: A personnel matter as authorized by <br /> <br />Subsection 1 and consultation with legal counsel pertaining to specific legal <br /> <br />matters requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel, as authorized <br /> <br />by Subsection 7. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each returning member of <br /> <br />Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open <br /> <br />meeting requirements were discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only <br /> <br />those business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session <br /> <br />were heard, discussed, or considered during said Session. Upon returning to <br /> <br />Open Session, Council took no action. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before Council during their <br /> <br />special meeting, upon motion, duly seconded, by unanImous vote, Mayor <br /> <br />Cobbe declared the meeting adjourned at 4:00 P. M. <br />
