Johnson <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Martinsville High School Bulldogs Basketball Team completed its <br />regular 2005-2006 season as the Piedmont District Tournament Champions and the <br />Region IV Tournament Champions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Bulldogs advanced to the Virginia High School League Group AA Stale <br />Tournament; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Martinsville Bulldogs Basketball Team ultimately became the 2005-2006 <br />Group AA State Champions of the Virginia High School League, with a VHSL record <br />thirteenth state championship and final record of 23 wins and 6 losses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these young people, through displaying their team effort, sportsmanship, <br />determination, skill and ability and their coaches exemplify the spirit and quality of <br />the young people of our community and the athletic programs in our schools, in turn <br />reflecting positively on their community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session <br />assembled March 14, 2006, that it does hereby recognize and congratulate the young <br />men of the Martinsville High School Bulldog Basketball Team- <br /> <br />Shaquan Beamer. <br />Jonathan Burman <br />Arthur Dandridge <br />Tracy Hairston <br /> <br />Ashmond Hughes <br />Mike Hughes <br />o 'Andrew Jackson <br />Dominik Mitchell <br /> <br />Donte Morrison <br />Emmanuel Reid <br />J.
