<br />~ <br />, <br />..r ,,_j <br /> <br />December 13, 2005 <br /> <br />Parcels 43 (8) 7 & 8, on the Zoning Map of the City of Martinsville, are hereby rezoned from R-9 <br />Residential to P-2 Professional. <br /> <br />Council considered adoption of a Resolution approvIng the legislative <br /> <br />policy statement for the 2006 General Assembly. Council Member Roop moved <br /> <br />to adopt the following Resolution and attached policy statement (Attachment <br /> <br />A); the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, all <br /> <br />members voting: Vote: 5-0. Yeas: (5) Cobbe, Reynolds, Roop, Ferrill, Clark. <br /> <br />Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the administrative staff of the City of Martinsville has developed, with Council's guidance, <br />a legislative policy statement for the 2006 General Assembly; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session assembled <br />December 13, 2005, that Council hereby adopts the attached legislative policy statements recommended <br />by its staff. <br /> <br />Council next considered authorizing the City Manager to sIgn an <br /> <br />agreement with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership for a $15,000 <br /> <br />grant to prepare a virtual building at Clearview Business Park and approve the <br /> <br />$15,000 match from the General Fund fund balance. Council Member Roop <br /> <br />moved to authorize the City's Manager's signature and approve the $15,000 <br /> <br />match; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, all <br /> <br />members voting: Vote: 5-0. Yeas: (5) Cobbe, Reynolds, Roop, Ferrill, Clark. <br /> <br />Nays: (0) None. <br />
