<br />r.~~ <br />'J <br /> <br />May 10, 2005 <br /> <br />A work session meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, was <br /> <br />held on May 10, 2005, in Council Chamber, Municipal Building, beginning at 1 :00 P. M., <br /> <br />with Mayor Joe Cobbe presiding. Council Members present included: Joseph R. <br /> <br />Cobbe, Mayor; Kimble Reynolds, Jr., Vice Mayor; and Council Members James W. <br /> <br />Clark, J. Ronald Ferrill, and Terry L. Roop. <br /> <br />Robert R. Collins, City Manager, reviewed items to be considered at the regular <br /> <br />meeting on May 24, 2005. <br /> <br />Council considered setting a Public Hearing for May 24, 2005, to receive <br /> <br />applicants for two three-year appointments beginning July 1, 2005, to the City's School <br /> <br />Board. Vice Mayor Reynolds moved to set such Public Hearing; the motion was duly <br /> <br />seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas <br /> <br />(5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br />Council began its review of the proposed FY06 budget. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before Council during their work <br /> <br />session meeting, upon motion by Council Member Roop, duly seconded, by unanimous <br /> <br />vote, Mayor Cobbe declared the meeting adjourned at 4:00 P.
