Esther Adams-Artis was named the <br /> <br />Quarterly Winner. <br /> <br />The following city employees were recognized for receiving service awards <br /> <br />from July through September: <br /> <br />25 years - Robert Ramsey, Police <br /> <br />20 years - Marshall Farley, Police; Esther Adams-Artis, MIS; Curtis <br />Pruitt, Water Resources and Thomas Hayzlett, Sheriffs Office <br /> <br />15 years - Andy Lash, Water Resources; Mike Pace, Police; Roger Shelor, <br />Public Works and Wilbur Preston, Water Resources <br /> <br />10 years - Andrea Ward, Purchasing; Kathy Reed, MIS; Mark Stroud, <br />Sheriff's Office and William Hampton, Sheriffs Office <br /> <br />5 years - Sandra Gentry, Commonwealth's Attorney's Office; Timothy <br />Dunbar, Water Resources; David Johnston, Public Works; Doug Haynes, <br />Sheriff's Office and Sandy Hines, Police <br /> <br />Council next considered the adoption of a Resolution establishing the <br /> <br />National Incident Management System (NIMS) as the city's standard for <br /> <br />incident management. This was discussed in detail at the last work session <br /> <br />and Bob Phillips, Safety Officer gave a brief summary again. Council Member <br /> <br />Clark moved to adopt the following Resolution; the motion was duly seconded <br /> <br />and carried by the following vote, all members voting: Vote: 4-0. Yeas: (4) _ <br /> <br />Cobbe, Reynolds, Roop, Clark. Nays: (0)- None. Absent (1) - Ferrill. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the President in Homeland Security Directive (HSPD)-5, directed the Secretary of <br />the Department of Homeland Security to develop and administer a National Incident <br />Management System (NIMS), which would provide a consistent nationwide approach for <br />
