2-26 Good Neighbor Fund Utility Assistance Program. <br /> <br />The director of finance may establish the Good Neighbor Fund Utility Assistance Program <br />whereby the department of public utilities will accept tax-deductible donations from its <br />customers and engage a nonprofit agency to disburse such funds to individuals within the <br />department of public utilities' service territory who need financial assistance paying their utility <br />bills issued by the city. Pursuant to section 2-25, the director of finance may also establish <br />appropriate roles and regulations regarding the eligibility criteria for the award of financial <br />assistance and the accounting, audit and control measures to monitor the disbursement of funds <br />by the nonprofit agency. <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />Johnathan B.
