The following individuals spoke in favor of the Ordinance: James
Crigger, Sr., of 1122 South Askin St, and member of the City's Planning Commission;
Lois Christensen, of 720 Prospect Hill Drive, and Executive Director of Gateway
Streetscape Foundation; and Kevin Keith, of the Virginia Department of Forestry.
Mayor Cobbe declared the Public Hearing closed. Council Member Ferrill moved to
adopt, on first r.eading, Ordinance 2004-20; the motion was duly seconded and carried
by the following roll call vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Clark,
Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) - None.

Council considered business from the floor, John Shaw, Associate Planner, K.
W.
