October 26, 2004 <br /> <br /> Council considered approval of the City Manager's request to re-appropriate <br />funds in the FY04 budget to the FY05 budget and approve an FY05 budget adjustment. <br />Council Member Roop moved to approve such re-appropriation and adjustment as <br />presented; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all <br />members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) <br />- None. <br /> <br /> Council considered approval of the Interim School Superintendent's request to <br />re-appropriate funds in the FY04 budget to the FY05 budget and approve an FY05 <br />budget adjustment. Council Member Ferrill moved to approve such re-appropriation <br />and adjustment as presented; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the <br />following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, <br />Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Council considered business from the floor. Mr. Davies reported on the State <br />Council of Higher Education for Virginia's (SCHEV) meeting held in Danville today <br />regarding the proposed new college. He, also, announced that SCHEV would be <br />receiving public comment on October 27, 2004, 10:00 A. M., Patrick Henry Community <br />College. A brief discussion ensued regarding the impact of the City's Resolution <br />adopted in favor of a new college. <br /> <br /> Council Member Roop moved to approve the following Consent Agenda items; <br />the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following roll call vote, with all <br />members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) <br />- None: <br /> <br /> <br />
