November 23, 2004 234 At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each returning member of Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said Session. Upon return to ©pen Session, Council took the following actions: 1. Council Member Ferrill moved to appoint James Barnett, of 1318 Root Trail, to an unexpired one-year term on the Martinsville- Henry County Economic Development Corporation, ending June 30, 2005; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) - None. 2. Council Member Clark moved to appoint Richard Pulliam, of 709 Indian Trail, to an unexpired four-year term on the Transportation Safety Commission, ending December 31,2006; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) - None. 3. Council Member Roop moved to reappoint Barbara M. Cousins, of 211 Stuart Street, to a three-year member term on the West Piedmont Planning District Technical Advisory Committee; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) - None. There being no further business to come before Council during their regular meeting, upon motion by Council Member Ferrill, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, Mayor Cobbe declared the meeting adjourned at 8:16 P.
