September 28, 2004 <br /> <br /> 2. $1,031 in Revenue into 01101917 442402 - Categorical Other <br /> State/Confiscated Assets/Commonwealth's Attorney for Expenditure <br /> in 01221082 506105 - Commonwealth's Attorney/State Assets <br /> Forfeiture <br />Accept and appropriate into the General Fund for the FY04 budget the <br />following: <br /> 1. $205,205 in Revenue into 01100909 490126 Recovered <br /> Costs/Liberty Street Project for Expenditure in 01413151 508234 - <br /> Thoroughfare Construction/Underground Services <br />Accept and appropriate into the School Grant Fund for the FY04 budget a <br />total of $710,443 in revenue and expenditures from reimbursements from the <br />Federal Government. <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br /> <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br />by Council Member Roop, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br /> <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matter: <br /> <br />Appointments to Boards and Commissions, <br />Subsection 1. <br />1. Board of Zoning Appeals <br />2. Industrial Development Authority <br /> <br />as authorized by <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each returning member of Council <br /> <br />certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements <br />were discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified <br /> <br />in the motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered <br /> <br />during said Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took the following actions: <br /> <br /> A. 1. Council Member Roop moved to appoint Jesse D. Hodges, <br /> of 712 Clarke Road, to a three-year term on the Board of Zoning <br /> Appeals, ending October 28, 2007; the motion was duly seconded <br /> and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - <br /> 0; Yeas (5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) - <br /> None. <br /> A. 2. Council Member Ferill moved to appoint Monroe H. <br /> Ridenhour, of 1231 Mulberry Road, to a four-year term on the <br /> Industrial Development Authority, ending September 26, 2008, and <br /> to appoint Mark C. Stroud, Sr., of 1204 Oakgrove Avenue, to an <br /> <br /> <br />
