If council decides it is interesting in pursuing the option of building of a new range at the
landfill, it will definitely have to wait until after the landfill closes. The city is presently taking
Clay from the location we would build a range and using it to cover trash. Leon has advised
excavation of the soil would continue as long as the vein of Clay is there. Depending on the
depth of the clay, the level of ground where we would like to build the range will drop an
addition 10 to 15' and possibly as much as another 30 to 50 ', which would really put us in a very
deep and extra safe hole. We would have high banks on both sides and the front section of the
range.

Grading for the futura range could take place as they continue their ongoing excavation
operations. The high banks we need would certainly be in place and there should be adequate
space for parking as this site would allow us an area at least i00 yds x 200 yds. of flat ground.
Leon mentioned the road leading to this area is one which will remain on location whether we
build the range or not and that it would only need crusher run added to it.

Although a lot of the expense associated with the construction/building of the range would be in-
house we would still need AEP to install electricity. We would need to extend water lines from
the transfer station to the range and we would also need to put in a septic tank system.

Other costs associated with moving the firearms range include:

Building a new Range House
Concrete shooting lanes
Target Stands
Fencing around the range for increased security
Alarm System on the Range House
