Leon Towarnicki, Director of Public Works, stated that <br />this update reflects (1) an update to the census and generation rate, (2) revised <br />collection systems, and (3) revised language regarding closure and transfer station <br />plans. Mayor Teague declared the Public Hearing open. With no response, he <br />declared the Public Hearing closed. Council Member Ferrill moved to approve such <br />update as presented; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, <br />with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague. <br /> <br /> Council considered making an appointment to the Martinsville School Board for <br />one three-year term ending June 30, 2007. Vice Mayor Roop moved to appoint Bill R. <br />Manning, of 1118 Knollwood Place, to such term; the motion was duly seconded and <br />carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, <br />Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Council considered conducting a public hearing for the purpose of receiving <br />citizens interested in interim appointment to one position on the City's School Board for <br />the duration of Joseph E.
