:!.28 <br /> <br />May 6, 2004 <br /> <br /> A budget work session meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br />was held on May 6, 2004, in Council Chamber, Municipal Building, beginning at 6:00 P. <br />M., with Mayor Gene Teague presiding. Council Members present included: M. Gene <br />Teague, Mayor; Terry L. Roop, Vice Mayor; and Council Members Joseph R. Cobbe, <br />Bruce H. T. Dallas, and J. Ronald Ferrill. <br /> <br /> Council reviewed the FY05 Budget request of the Gateway Streetscape <br />Foundation. Lois Christensen, Director, was available for questions and comments. <br /> <br /> Council reviewed the FY05 Budget request of the Sheriff's Office. Steve Draper, <br />Sheriff, was available for questions and comments. A discussion ensued regarding <br />vehicles. <br /> <br /> Council reviewed the FY05 Budget request of the School System. Ira Trollinger, <br />Superintendent, was available for questions and comments. <br /> <br /> Council reviewed the FY05 Budget request of Leisure Services. Betsy Pace, <br />Senior Services Coordinator, was available for questions and comments. A discussion <br />ensued regarding the relationship with the Southern Area Agency on Aging. Tony <br />Rinaldi, Director, was available for questions and comments regarding Leisure Services, <br />Park Maintenance, Armory, and Hooker Field. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their budget work <br />session meeting, upon motion by Vice Mayor Roop, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br />Mayor Teague declared the meeting adjourned at 8:46 P.
