vote, with all members voting: <br />Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Council considered <br /> <br /> May 25, 2004 <br />Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, <br /> <br />an update from Benny Summerlin, Henry County <br /> <br /> Administrator, concerning revenue-sharing lots at The Patriot Centre. He stated that six <br /> bids were received, and the project has been awarded to Central Site Contractors at a <br /> cost of $3,330,145.95. He requested that the City consider pledging 30 percent of <br /> additional funds, $88,000, for contingencies. Council requested Mr. Bartlett to research <br /> this issue and present his findings, including funding options, at Council's next meeting. <br /> <br /> Council considered conducting a public hearing for the purpose of receiving <br /> citizens interested in appointment to one position on the City's School Board. Mayor <br /> Teague declared the Public Hearing open. The following citizens presented for <br /> consideration: Craig Dietrich, of 1227 Lanier Road; Bernie Gray, of 914 Vine Street; <br /> Jay W. Judkins, of 1027 Jefferson Circle; and Bill Manning, of 1118 Knollwood Place. <br /> Mayor Teague declared the Public Hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Council considered business from the floor. Gloria Hodge Hylton, of 402 Second <br />Street, commended Council for making emergency medical services (EMS) available; <br />she presented a $500 donation in memory of her parents, James W. & Lucille S. Hodge. <br />Chris Koumparakis, of 1722 Farmbrook Road, Ridgeway, stated that two Martinsville <br />High School students placed at the State level in freestyle wrestling and will advance to <br />the national competition in North Dakota; he presented a $50 donation to help with their <br />expenses. Mr. Gray expressed his frustration with the Liberty Street/Clearview Drive <br />intersection project. <br /> <br /> <br />
