December 9, 2003 <br /> <br />Mr. Frith stated that he and Charles White are the only property owners on the street <br />and that Mr. White is in agreement to the renaming. Council Member Ferrill moved to <br />approve such request; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, <br />with al~ members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; <br />Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Council considered adoption, on second reading, of Ordinance 2003-14 on a <br />request by the Planning Commission to amend Section II Definitions, Section XII <br />Commercial Districts, and Section Xlll Business and Manufacturing Districts, in the <br />City's Zoning Ordinance. Council Member Ferrill moved to adopt, on second reading, <br />the following Ordinance 2003-14 [Attachment A] as presented; the motion was duly <br />seconded and carried by the following roll call vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - <br />0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Council considered adoption of a Storefront Improvement Program Design of the <br /> proposed West Church Street Redevelopment Plan. Tom Harned, Director of Economic <br /> Development, highlighted the program and reported that four applications have already <br /> been received. Council Member Dallas moved to adopt such design plan; the motion <br /> was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - <br /> 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Council considered business from the floor. Ron Jefferson, of American Electric <br /> Power, announced $1,000 donations to the Men's Roundtable and the Collinsville <br /> Jaycees for their annual children's Christmas shopping tours. <br /> <br /> Leon Towarnicki, Director of Public Works, presented the recycling report for the <br /> three-month period of August through October 2003. <br /> <br /> <br />
