Materials& Supplies $12,577 in 85002200 568200 - Reading First FY04/Capital Outlay Mayor Teague announced proclamations naming October as "Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Awareness Month" and September 28, 2003, as "National Good Neighbor Day. Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. in accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia. (i950, and as amended) and upon motion by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: A. Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as authorized by Subsection 1. 1. Southern Area Agency on Aging Board B. A personnel matter under the jurisdiction of the City Council, as authorized by Subsection 1. At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took the following action: A. 1. Vice Mayor Roop moved to appoint Hal H. Hubener, of 1507 Whittle Road, to a three-year term on the Southern Area Agency on Aging Board, ending September 28, 2006; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None.
