Accept and appropriate into the Refuse Fund for the FY03 Budget <br /> the following: <br /> $225,184 in Revenue into 09102926 436409 - Categorical <br /> Federal/FEMA for Expenditure in 09427306 506900 - <br /> General Expense/Disaster Recovery <br /> <br /> Mayor Teague announced that the Southwest Virginia Economic Development <br />Summit will be held on July 9, 2003, in Farmville. There will not be a Work Session on <br />July 3, 2003, as scheduled. Council requested that Administration and Staff review <br />costs and options in printing the Annual Water Quality Report. Council Member Cobbe <br />inquired regarding the Leisure Services study. Mr. Bartlett replied that the study is in <br />Phase II; the consultant has met with the City and County [of Henry] and will present a <br />report to the Task Force within approximately 60 days. <br /> <br /> Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virqinia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br />by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: <br /> <br /> A. Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as <br /> authorized by Subsection 1. <br /> 1. Drug Task Force of Martinsville & Henry County <br /> 2. Patrick Henry Community College <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br />(1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br /> <br /> <br />
