May 20, 2003 <br /> <br />He emphasized, though, that his opinion is not a reflection on job performance <br />evaluation. Council Member Ferrill moved to approve a 2.25 pement raise for City <br />employees, effective December 1,2003; the motion died for a lack of a second. Council <br />Member Cobbe moved to revise the proposed budget to eliminate all salary increases; <br />the motion was duly seconded and defeated by the following vote, with all members <br />voting: Vote 2 - 3; Yeas (2) - Cobbe, Ferrill; Nays (3) - Dallas, Roop, Teague. <br /> <br /> A discussion ensued regarding economic development. Council discussed <br />whether or not it should be a joint effort with the County of Henry. Council discussed, <br />also, the potential involvement by the private sector. Council requested that the City <br />Manager and the County Administrator examine options. <br /> <br /> Thera being no further business to come before Council during their work <br />session meeting, upon motion by Council Member Ferrill, duly seconded, by unanimous <br />vote, Mayor Teague declared the meeting adjourned at 1:00 P.
