July 8, 2003 <br /> <br />6. No pursuit of an injured or wounded deer shall be permitted upon the <br /> land of neighboring landowners unless the hunter has first obtained <br /> permission from that landowner. No field dressing of deer shall be <br /> permitted without the permission of the landowner. <br />7. Violation of this section shall be punished as a class 1 misdemeanor. <br />8. This section shall be repealed automatically at noon, April 1, 2004. <br /> <br />Council considered establishing a schedule and location for its FY03-04 Town <br /> <br />Meetings. The advantages and disadvantages were discussed regarding conducting <br /> <br />the town meetings in Council Chamber versus in the neighborhoods. By general <br /> <br />consensus with no vote taken, Council agreed to seek citizens' input and set the <br /> <br />schedule and location at its August 12, 2003, meeting. <br /> <br />Council considered business from the floor. Klm Adkins, of the Martinsville- <br /> <br />Henry Chamber of Commerce, announced that the State of the City and County will be <br /> <br />presented on July 10, 2003, and that the joint School Boards' merger subcommittee will <br /> <br />hold a meeting on July 14, 2003, to receive the study's phase two results. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Roop moved to approve the following Consent Agenda items; the <br /> <br />motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: <br /> <br />Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Co. bbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br />Accept and appropriate into the General Fund for the FY03 Budget <br />the following: <br />1. $1,154 in Revenue into 01101917 442401 - Categorical <br /> Other State/Confiscated Assets/Police for Expenditure in <br /> 01311085 506078 - Police/Confiscated Assets <br />2. $204 in Revenue into 01101917 442402 - Categorical Other <br /> State/Confiscated Assets/Commonwealth's Attorney for <br /> Expenditure in 01221082 506102 - Commonwealth's <br /> Attbrney/Conflscated Assets <br />3. $1,500 in Revenue into 01101918 443310 - Grants <br /> State/DMV Grant for Expenditure in 01311085 506104 - <br /> Police/Non-capital Equipment <br /> <br /> <br />
