April 8, 2003 <br /> <br />Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as <br />authorized by Subsection 1. <br />1. Clean Community Board <br />A personnel matter under the jurisdiction of the City Council, as <br />authorized by Subsection 1. <br />A prospective business or industry or expansion of an existing <br />business or industry where no previous announcement has been <br />made of the business' or industry's interest in locating or expanding <br />its facilities in the community, as authorized by Subsection 5. <br /> <br /> Council recessed and convened as the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority at 8:50 P. M. <br /> <br /> The Authority considered adoption of a Resolution approving the operating <br />budget for fiscal year 2004 for Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation and Housing - Choice <br /> <br />Voucher Programs. Wayne Knox, Planning, Zoning, & Housing Manager, highlighted <br /> <br />the budget. Vice Chairman Roop moved to adopt the following Resolution; the motion <br /> <br />was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - <br /> <br />0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the operating Budget for Fiscal year July 1, 2003 through <br />June 30, 2004 for Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Project <br />VA045MR0001 has been reviewed by the Members of the Martinsville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, the operating Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2003 through <br />June 30, 2004 for Section 8 Housing - Choice Vouchers has been <br />reviewed by the Members of the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority; and <br />(a) The proposed expenditures are necessary in the efficient and <br />economical operation of the Housing AuthoritY for the purpose of serving <br />Iow - income families. <br />(b) The financial plan is reasonable in that it indicates a source of <br />funding adequate to cover all proposed expenditures. <br />(c) All proposed changes and expenditures will be consistent with <br />provisions of law and the Annual Contributions Contract; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Members of the Martinsville Redevelopment <br />and Housing Authority, in regular session assembled on Apdl 8, 2003, <br />hereby approve the Operating Budgets for Fiscal year July 1, 2003 <br />through June 30, 2004 for Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Project <br />VA045MR0001 and Housing - Choice Vouchers. <br /> <br /> <br />
