T. Dallas <br /> <br />Pledge to the American flag <br /> <br />I. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of March 13 and <br /> 25 and April 8, 2003. (See Enclosures #l-a, 1-b and l-c) <br /> <br />II. Presentation by the Eighth Grade Scholars Class at Martinsville Middle <br /> School. <br /> <br />COMMENTS: This Class has worked on a unit called "Project Citizen", which <br />involves community problem-solving. One group wants a skate park in <br />Martinsville and has written a grant asking for funding. A second group sees <br />the need for a transit system in our area and the third group is promoting a <br />teen center. Ms. Anne Stultz is their teacher. <br /> <br />III. Review financial report for month ending 03/31/03. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />IV. Consider adoption, on second reading, of Ordinance No. 2003-4 amending <br /> Ordinance No. 2000-4 relating to the meals tax notification process used by <br /> the Commissioner of Revenue to collect such taxes. (See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />V. Consider adoption, on second reading, of Ordinance 2003-3 on a request by <br /> the Planning Commission to amend Zoning Ordinance Sections I-VII and XVI- <br /> XXIV. (See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />VI. Consider adoption of a Resolution upon a request by the West Piedmont <br /> Planning District Commission to continue support to the West Piedmont <br /> Regional Alliance. (See Enclosure #5) <br /> <br />VII. Comments by the Public on proposed revenue enhancements to FY04 budget. <br /> <br />VIII. Continuation of FY04 Budget Reviews. (See Enclosure #6) <br /> <br />IX. Business from the Floor <br /> <br />This section of the Council meeting provides citizens the opportunity to <br />discuss matters, which are not listed on the printed agenda.
