Enclosure .,-¢ <br /> <br />Martinsville <br /> <br />March 6, 2003 <br /> <br />The Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />City of Martinsville <br />Martinsville, Virginia <br /> <br />The Planning Commission, at a meeting on February 20, 2003, conducted a public <br />heating on request from city staffto amend Sections I to VII and XVI to XXIV. <br />Numerous outdated terms have been removed and definitions amended or replaced by <br />current planning terminology. Code 15.2 <br />Board of Zoning Appeals As above <br />Pre-Existing Building permits As above <br />Effect on Invalidity of One Section As above <br /> <br />Changes and Amendments As above <br />Annexed Area As above <br />Violation and Penalty As above <br />Rights and Liabilities Under Prior <br />Ordinances As above <br />Effective Date As above <br /> <br />The public hearing on February 20th, 2003 was held with no public comment made. <br />Following discussion of the proposed amendments, in which no opposition was <br />expressed, the Planning Commission voted on March 4th, 2003 unanimously (3-0) to <br />recommend to City Council that the Zoning Ordinance be amended as proposed (see <br />attachment).
