December 10, 2002 <br /> <br /> Tuesday, December 17, 2002. City Manager Reynolds highlighted a media release <br /> regarding office moves within the Municipal Building. Council Member Dallas <br /> complimented the Chamber of Commerce regarding the Martinsville-Henry County book <br /> recently published and the Public Works Departments for street cleaning in response to <br /> the recent winter storm. <br /> <br /> Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br /> Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br /> by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br /> convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matter: <br /> <br /> A. Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as <br /> authorized by Subsection 1. <br /> 1. Anchor Group Home Commission <br /> 2. Transportation Safety Commission <br /> <br /> Council recessed and convened as the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing <br /> Authority at 8:55 P. M. <br /> <br /> The Authority considered conducting a public hearing and adopting, on <br />emergency basis, an Ordinance amending, revising, and reordaining the Administrative <br />Plan of the Section 8 Rental Housing Assistance Program. Chairman Teague declared <br />the Public Hearing open; he declared the Public Hearing closed. Authority Member <br />Dallas moved to adopt such Ordinance [Attachment Al; the motion was duly seconded <br />and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - <br />Cobbe, Dallas, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> The Authority considered the need to meet in Closed Session. in accordance <br />with Section 2.1~344 (A) of the Code of Virqinia (1950, and as amended) and upon <br />motion by Authority Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, <br /> <br /> <br />
