December 10, 2002 <br /> <br /> tireless efforts to promote the growth and level of pre-hospital care <br /> and for offering free public health care. <br /> <br /> Council conducted the Town Meeting. Brenda Prillaman, Customer Service <br /> Coordinator, presented the Customer Concerns report for the Druid Hills and Middle <br /> School areas. <br /> <br /> Council considered awarding a contract to the Iow bidder for the R. P. Thomas <br />site development, known as "Academy Place Site Development." Wayne Knox, <br />Planning, Zoning, & Housing Manager, presented all bids received. Council Member <br />Dallas moved to award the contract to Carnell Construction Corporation for the bid <br />amount of $322,119.00; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following <br />vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, <br />Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Council considered adoption of revisions to the City's FY03 budget. City <br />Manager Reynolds presented the adjustment recommendations, including (1) offset of <br />reduction in State revenues by making expenditure reductions to the Electoral Board of <br />$473.00, Fire Department of $1,839.00, Blue Ridge Regional Airport of $10,000.00, and <br />Piedmont Arts Association Endowment Fund of $13,471.00; and (2) specific reductions <br />by department and line item. Council discussed funding of outside agencies and <br />requested Staff to contact these agencies to see if their money is crucial at this time or if <br />they can wait until Council finishes its budget analysis. Council Member Cobbe moved <br />to approve Recommendation 1 in the amount of $25,783.00; the motion was duly <br />seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas <br />(5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None.
