Mr. Pritchett administered the Oath <br />of Office to Vice Mayor Roop. <br /> <br /> Mayor Teague thanked his wife, Sandy, daughter, Sarah, family, fellow Council <br />Members, former Mayors, City Administration, his past and present employers, and the <br />citizens. He discussed five key elements: (1) provision of jobs, (2) control of disruptive <br />individuals, (3) revision of financial policies, (4) improvements to the educational <br />system, and (5) provision of basic needs and safety needs. He recognized Sheriff <br />Steve Draper, Treasurer Pat Conrad, Commissioner of the Revenue Ruth Krauss, Clerk <br />of Circuit Court Ashby Pdtchett, and Kim Adkins, President of the Martinsville-Henry <br />County Chamber of Commerce for their attendance. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Roop thanked his family and the citizens and congratulated Mayor <br />Teague and Council Member Cobbe. <br /> <br /> Council Members Cobbe and Ferrill congratulated Mayor Teague and Vice <br />Mayor Roop and thanked their families and the citizens. Council Member Ferrill <br />expressed appreciation to former Mayor Mark Crabtree. <br /> <br /> Council assumed seating by seniority and considered establishing a regular <br />meeting schedule. By general consensus, with no vote taken, Council agreed to <br />conduct regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month beginning <br />at 7:30 P. M. <br /> <br /> Council considered establishing a regular work session schedule. By general <br />consensus, with no vote taken, Council agreed to conduct work sessions on the first <br />Thursday of each month, 11:00 A. M. until 1:00 P. M. <br /> <br /> <br />
