Enclosure Cf_/- C 38 <br /> <br />June 19, 2002 <br /> <br /> A special meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, was held on <br />June 19, 2002, in Council Chamber of the Municipal Building, beginning at 7:30 P. M., <br />with Mayor Mark Crabtree presiding. Council Members present included: Mark A. <br />Crabtree, Mayor; M. Gene Teague, Vice Mayor; and Council Members Bruce H. T. <br />Dallas, J. Ronald Ferrill, and Terry L. Roop. <br /> <br /> Council Member Roop gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. In <br />accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Vir~linia (1950, and as amended) <br />and upon motion by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the <br /> <br />following matters: <br /> A. <br /> <br /> Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as <br /> authorized by Subsection 1. <br /> 1. Martinsville School Board <br /> B. Personnel matters under the jurisdiction of the City Council, as <br /> authorized by Subsection 1. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br />(1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br />motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br />Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took no action. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their special <br />meeting, upon motion by Vice Mayor Teague, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br />Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 9:58 P.
