May 22, 2002 <br /> <br /> A work session meeting to review the Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Proposed Budget of <br />the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, was held on May 22, 2002, in Council <br />Chamber of the Municipal Building, beginning at 6:10 P. M., with Mayor Mark Crabtree <br />presiding. Council Members present included: Mark A. Crabtree, Mayor; M. Gene <br />Teague, Vice Mayor; and Council Members Bruce H. T. Dallas, J. Ronald Ferrill, and <br />Terry L. Roop. <br /> Earl B. Reynolds, Jr., City Manager, presented the budget requests of the City <br />Manager's Office, City Council, Clerk of Council, and City Attorney. <br /> Wade Bartlett, Director of Finance, presented the budget requests of Finance, <br />Accounting, Utility Billing, Information Services, Purchasing, and Electric. <br /> Brenda Prillaman, Customer Service Coordinator, presented her department's <br />budget request. <br /> Bob Phillips, Safety Officer, presented his office's budget request. <br /> Matthew Hankins, Public Information Officer, presented his office,s budget <br />request. He highlighted, also, last year's achievements. <br /> Jim Tobin, Executive Director of Piedmont Community Services, presented his <br />agency's budget request. <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their budget work <br />session meeting, upon motion by Vice Mayor Teague, duly seconded, by Unanimous <br />vote, Mayor Crabtree de, clared the meeting adjourned at 8:17 P/I~.* <br /> ~Ma~rk A Crabtree <br />Joli~athan B.
