April 30, 2002 <br /> <br /> A joint meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, Board of <br />Supervisors of the County of Henry, Virginia, and the Industrial Development Authority <br />(IDA) of the County of Henry, Virginia, was held on April 30, 2002, in the Administrative <br />Conference Room of the Henry County Administration Building, beginning at 5:00 P. M., <br /> <br />with Mayor Mark Crabtree presiding. The purpose of the meeting was to consider (1) a <br />Resolution endorsing the submission of an application to the Virginia Department of <br /> <br />Housing and Community Development for an Industrial Site Development Fund Grant <br />and (2) an amended Revenue Sharing Agreement between Henry County, City of <br />Martinsvi~le, and the Henry County IDA. Council Members present included: Mark A. <br /> <br />Crabtree, Mayor; M. Gene Teague, Vice Mayor; and Council Members Bruce H. T. <br /> <br />Dallas, J. Ronald Ferrill, and Terry L. Roop. <br /> <br />The following Resolution was unanimously adopted by the County Board of <br /> <br />Supervisors and the Henry County IDA. Council Member Ferrill moved to adopt the <br />following Resolution; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, <br /> <br />with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; <br /> <br />Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Henry County, the Henry County Industrial <br /> Development Authority and the City of Martinsville have joined <br /> together to promote economic development of the area, and <br /> WHEREAS, Henry County, the Henry County IDA and the City of <br /> Martinsville, in partnership, wish to apply for Virginia Industrial Site <br /> Development Funds (ISDF); and <br /> WHEREAS, Henry County, the Henry County IDA and the City of <br /> Martinsville wish to pursue development of a joint project involving <br /> certain lots in the Patriot Centre at Beaver Creek business park; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the localities commit to providing a dollar for dollar <br /> amount with at least 25 percent in local cash; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Preliminary Engineering Report has been prepared: <br /> <br /> <br />
