Dallas <br /> <br />Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of February <br />12, February 26, March 7 and March 12. {See Enclosures #I-a, l-b, 1-c <br />and l-d) <br /> <br />II. Conduct the Town Meeting. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />Consider adoption of a Resolution recognizing the Martinsville High <br />School Boys Basketball Team for winning the Group AA State <br />Championship for 2002. (See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: The Mayor will present this Resolution' to the team at a <br />Community Celebration on Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at 5:00 p.m. at <br />the Dan Greene Memorial Stadium. We recommend that Council adopt <br />this Resolution as prepared. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />Consider adoption of a Resolution requesting the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation to add eligible lane mileage for Collector/Local street <br />maintenance payments to the City. (See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: As you will note from Leon Towarnicki's memo, since the <br />addition of Carilion Drive from the intersection of Brookdale Road to the <br />end of the improvements, there is a need to update our eligible lane miles <br />for the State's calculation of street maintenance payments to the City. <br />We recommend that Council adopt this Resolution as prepared. <br /> <br />Conduct a Public Hearing and consider approval, on first reading, of <br />Ordinance 2002-1 on a request by the Planning Commission to amend <br />Zoning Ordinance Section XI, Professional Districts. (See Enclosure #5) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: The Planning Commission has reviewed and approved this <br />request; therefore, we recommend that Council approve the Ordinance <br />on first reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
