Hobson to rezone property located ~at 1009.~F.ayette Street, from R-9 Residential t0 Commercial and adopting an Ordinan~c~.~. ~uthoriz!ng the rezoning. Wayne D. P. Knox, Planning, Zoning, & Housing Manager, stated that the current use ~ ~hiS property as a carwash constitutes a pre-existing, non-conforming use in a residential zone and.t0 retain the use as a carwash and add a new use of a~smail engine repair requires a commercial zoning classificatiOn, He added ~hat~,.t~i~,a?a,~,f ~yett? street is already designated as commercial pn~the~ p[oposed Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan.
