City of Martinsville <br />Customer Concerns in High School area <br />Neighborhood Town Meeting <br /> September 28, 1999 <br /> <br />Zoning <br />23% <br /> <br />Electric <br /> 1% <br /> <br />Inspections <br />42% <br /> <br />Water <br />3% <br /> <br />Public Works <br />23% <br /> <br />Police <br /> 7% <br /> <br />Leisure Services <br /> 1% <br /> <br />As evidenced by the departments involved, the main neighborhood concerns are <br />unsightly properties, dilapidated houses, and inoperative vehicles. <br /> <br />The status of citizens' concerns is monitored regularly. To date, all concerns in the <br />High School region have been resolved or measures are underway to resolve the <br />situation. Citizens making complaints have been notified of status either by phone or <br />letter. <br /> <br />This graph includes 190 actual complaints recorded for this area between September, <br />1998 and September, 1999. Of the 190 complaints recorded, 165 have been resolved and <br />25 are presently pending with measures being taken to correct situation. Duplicate <br />complaints on the same address are noted on attached report. <br /> <br />Included in this report are all complaints referred directly to Customer Service and does <br />not include routine calls for service.
