TUESDAY. January 23. 2001 <br /> <br />In other matters, Mayor Crabtree said that a letter was received from Sprint, stating that within <br /> <br />the next month, there will a City and a Henry County site established for citizens to pay telephone <br />bills. This program would ease the burden on citizens that do not have checking accounts. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as mended) <br />and upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Closed <br />Session for the purpose of discussing the following matters: <br /> <br />Consultation with legal counsel regarding a specific legal matter, as authorized by <br />Subsection 7. <br /> <br />Consultation with legal counsel regarding a specific legal matter, as authorized by <br />Subsection 7. <br /> <br />Consultation with legal counsel regarding a specific legal matter, as authorized by <br />Subsection 7. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that (1) only public <br />business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Closed Session; <br />and (2) only those business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session were <br />heard, discussed, or considered during said Session. <br /> <br />Following their return to open meeting, Council did not take any action. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before Council, upon motion duly seconded, by <br />unanimous vote, Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Clarence C.
